About Gather Weddings

Gather Weddings ("Gather," "we," "us," or "our") is a wedding matchmaking platform that helps couples connect their guests through a shared event experience. By accessing or using Gather, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, guests, and host accounts. "Host" refers to any couple or event planner who creates and manages an event on Gather. "Guest" refers to any person who joins a Gather event as an attendee.

Eligibility & Use

Use of the Platform

You must be at least 18 years old to use Gather. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You agree not to use the platform to harass, impersonate, or harm others; to upload unlawful, offensive, or infringing content; to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform; or to interfere with the operation of the platform in any way.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we determine, at our sole discretion, is harmful to the platform or its users.

Messaging

SMS Messaging Program

Gather Weddings offers a one-time SMS verification service to confirm guest identity when joining an event. By providing your mobile phone number and tapping "Continue," you consent to receive one (1) SMS per verification request from Gather Weddings.

Message frequency: One message per verification request.

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.

To opt out: Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages from Gather Weddings. You will receive a one-time confirmation of your opt-out.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of using any other feature of the platform. Phone numbers collected for SMS verification will not be used for marketing purposes.

Your Content

User Content

By uploading photos, messages, profile information, or any other content to Gather, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display that content as necessary to operate the platform. We do not claim ownership of your content.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You may not upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, contains explicit or harmful material, or violates any applicable law.

Event hosts control the visibility and access settings of their events. Guest content shared within an event is visible to other approved guests of that event.

Ownership

Intellectual Property

The Gather Weddings platform, including its design, code, logos, trademarks, and content created by us, is owned by Gather and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without our prior written consent.

Limitations

Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We are not responsible for the conduct of any user on the platform. Any reliance you place on information obtained through Gather is at your own risk.

Liability

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gather Weddings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Gather in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Updates

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Gather after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
