We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Identity & contact: Name, phone number, and email address provided during event join verification or host account registration.
• Profile information: Profile photo, bio, and any other details you add to your guest or host profile.
• Event participation: Which events you join, connections and matches made within an event, and messages you send in the platform.
• Payment information: Hosts who purchase a plan submit payment through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers — Stripe handles payment processing directly.

We also collect limited technical data automatically, such as browser type, device type, and general usage patterns, to help us operate and improve the platform.

When you provide your phone number for SMS verification, we collect and store that number solely for the purpose of sending your one-time verification code.

SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.

Your phone number is not sold, rented, or transferred to third-party advertisers or data brokers. It may be shared with our SMS delivery provider (AWS End User Messaging) solely to transmit the verification message you requested.

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from Gather Weddings. For more information about our SMS practices, see our Terms of Service.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Guest data associated with a specific event is retained for the duration of that event's active period. After an event closes, personal data may be anonymized or deleted in accordance with our internal data retention schedule.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of Gather after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
